about

ALL proceeds of this album will benefit the ‘Saman fyrir Seyðisfjörð’ fund. Saman fyrir Seyðisfjörð funds will be distributed by the Red Cross in collaboration with the community in Seyðisfjörður and are dedicated to rebuilding and supporting the community of Seydisfjordur after landslides devastated the community last December.

The band “Hell Yeah, Beautiful” is comprised of artists Indriði Arnar Ingólfsson, Tumi Árnason, Úlfur Hansson, Jófríður Ákadóttir, Ólafur Sverrir Traustason and Arnljótur Sigurðsson that have collaborated to record this stand alone album, “Blue Church Session”.

The album was created in 2013 during Seydisfjordur’s annual art and music festival LungA. It was written and recorded in the iconic “blue church”, Seyðisfjarðarkirkja, giving the album the title - Blue Church Session.

“Blue Church Session” captures the free spirited and experimental attitude Seydisfjordur is known for and transports the listener to a serene valley of sonic beauty over the course of six songs. The album released by figureight records, is in collaboration with Saman fyrir Seyðisfjörð and dedicated to the community of Seydisfjordur.

Saman fyrir Seyðisfjörð is a collaborative project, supported by Red Cross, that works to support the rebuilding of the Seyðisfjörður community by hosting an online schedule of performances and artwork donated by the creative community of Iceland.
